Coffee Board, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, Bangalore invites applications in the prescribed form for the following posts in Research & Extension Departments of the Coffee Board.
1. Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomist) : Scale of pay Rs.8000-275-13500
Total vacancies (one each in Assam, Karnataka & Tamilnadu) : Three (UR-2 & SC-1)
Qualification : 1st class Post Graduate degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy / 1st class Post Graduate degree in Horticulture with specialization in plantation crops.
Experience : 5 years research experience in the concerned field, authorship of technical papers published in recognized Scientific Journals. Desirable: Experience of research on perennial Crops
Upper Age Limit : 40 years as on the closing date for receipt of filled in application.
2. Asst. Specialists: Scale of pay Rs.6500-200-10500

Asst.Entomologist-1

: Qualification: I Class post graduate degree in Agriculture or Biology with specialization in Entomology
Experience : 5 years research experience in the concerned subject

3. Junior Liaison Officer: Scale of pay Rs.6500-200-10500
Total Vacancies : Nine (UR-5), (OBC-1), (SC-2) & (ST-1) (Shillong-1, remaining in Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Kerala)
Qualification
: I Class Post Graduate in Agriculture or Horticulture, preferably with specialisation in Agricultural Extension.

4. Research Asst.: Scale of pay Rs.5500-175-9000

5. Extension Inspector: Scale of pay Rs. 4500-125-7000

: Forty two : (UR-21), (OBC-6), (SC-8) & (ST-7)
Qualification : Qualification: B.Sc (Ag)/ Horticulture or I calss graduation with Botany as one of the subjects.
Upper Age Limit : 25 years as on the closing date for receipt of filled in application.
CONDITIONS:
  1. The present appointments are proposed to be made against the existing vacancies identified in certain places. But, the employees of the Board are liable to transfer in all over India basis based on the administrative reasons and exigency of work.
  2. Applications shall be submitted in the prescribed form, by down loading from website www.indiacoffee.org. The filled in application shall be submitted to the Secretary, No.1, Dr. Ambedkar Veedhi, Coffee Board, Bangalore–560 001 along with Indian Postal Order for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of “Secretary, Coffee Board, Bangalore”. SC/ST candidates are exempted from above payment subject to furnishing a copy of the caste certificate.
  3. Last date for receipt of completed application is 07.05.2008.
  4. Five years age relaxation is applicable to SC / ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.
  5. Persons employed in Govt. Offices/Govt.Undertaking/Public Sector Organizations/Quasi Govt. should apply through proper channel.
  6. Unemployed Candidates, who are called for interview, will be paid II class train fare or bus fare (upto 250 kms no TA) as admissible under the rules (subject to production of necessary tickets/receipts and a certificate of unemployment from an MP or MLA or Gazetted Officer of the place where the candidates normally reside)
  7. It is open to the Board to fill up or not to fill up the posts.
