TENDER NOTIFICATION
It has been decided to dispose 5211.15 kgs. of different grades of coffee for the season 2005-06 pertaining to Board's Farms in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka through closed tenders as shown below

Tamil Nadu Coffee 3750.90 kgs Delivery at M/s. Justin Leonard Coffee Curing Works, Pattiveeranpatti
Kerala Coffee 1366.45 kgs. Delivery at M/s. Vijaya Coffee Curing Works, Kalpetta
Karnataka Coffee 93.80 kgs Delivery at M/s. Kushalnagar Works, Kudige
For this purpose, sealed tenders are invited from the interested parties subject to following terms and conditions.

1. The Tenderers willing to participate in the closed tender should remit Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) as EMD by way of Demand Draft in favour of Coffee Board General Fund Non Plan A/c payable at Bangalore along with the sealed tender.

2. Samples of different grades of coffee will be exposed in the Committee Room, II Floor, Coffee Board, Bangalore from 10 AM to 5 PM on all working days from 12.03.2007 onwards. The coffee samples of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are also displayed at the O/o. the Junior Liaison Officer, Coffee Board, Sunticoppa, O/o. the Senior Liaison Officer, Coffee Board, Batlagundu and O/o. the Dy. Director (Extn.), Coffee Board, Kalpetta respectively. The Interested Tenderers may quote their maximum rate for 50 kgs. of coffee for different grades enlisted in the Bid form. Bid forms can either be obtained from the O/o. the Dy. Director (P&C) or downloaded from the Board's website www.indiacoffee.org and submit the tender form along with the demand draft for Rs.5000/- as EMD in a sealed cover duly super scribing "Tender bids for purchase of coffee from Karnataka/Kerala/ Tamil Nadu Farms" to the Deputy Director (P&C), Coffee Board, No. 1, Dr Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore - 560 001 within 3 PM on 26.3.2007.

3. Sealed covers shall be opened on the same date at 5 PM in the presence of tenderers by a committee constituted for the purpose..

4. Communication of acceptance or otherwise shall be informed to the highest bidder within 8 days from the date of opening of the tender. The EMD remitted by the tenderers shall be returned on the same day excepting the first and the second highest tenderers.

5. The successful tenderers should remit the full amount within 7 days of the date of acceptance of the tender failing which EMD so remitted will be forfeited to the Coffee Board. After the transaction is completed the EMD will be refunded to the concerned.

6. The successful tenderer should make his own arrangements to lift the coffee from the designated curing works as given in the bid form and shall remit the admissible VAT.

7. The Chairman, Coffee Board, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders and to re-tender the consignment without assigning any reasons thereof.
