- A Demand Draft drawn in favour of Coffee Board General Fund A/c No.1 for an amount of Rs.25,000/- as caution deposit will have to be enclosed to the proposal in sealed cover. The sealed cover with the quotation shall be addressed to the Estate Officer, Coffee Board, No.1, Dr.Ambedkar road, Bangalore – 560 001 with the marking – “ Sealed Quotation for purchase of standing trees including Tree felling ”. the sealed quotations shall reach the undersigned on or before 3.00 PM of 28.08.2008. The sealed quotations will be opened at 4.00 PM on the last day of receipt of the sealed quotations.
- Quotations without the caution deposit will not be considered for evaluation. The Demand Draft enclosed to rejected quotations will be returned and the caution deposit enclosed to the accepted quotation will be returned after the contract is complete.
- The bidder with the highest quotation will have to deposit the quoted price in the form of Demand Draft within Two working days from the date of intimation of acceptance of the quotation. The work order will be issued after the receipt of this deposit amount and the work shall be initiated immediately and completed within 20 days from the date of the work order, failing which the amount deposited along with the caution deposit will be forfeited. The duration will be extended if the climate is unfavorable for felling of trees.
- The quoted price shall be paid in total without deducting any amount.
- It is the responsibility of the bidder with the highest quote to take necessary permissions from concerned authorities viz, BESCOM, Police and to pay mandatory charges towards the same including applicable Forest development tax to be remitted to the Forest department.
- Utmost care should be taken to prevent accidental injuries to the personnel around the place during execution of the said work. Also, there should not be any damage to the building of the Coffee Board while executing the work. If there is any damage to the building during felling of trees, the same will have to be repaired at the cost of the bidder. The caution deposit will be refunded only after ensuring no damages/repair of damages. Bidder or his representatives will be responsible for commissions and omissions.
- The work of cutting trees & transportation of cut trees should be executed in such a manner that it should not hinder the movement of vehicles on main roads (Infantry road and Dr.Ambedkar road) adjacent to the premises.
- The leaves and cut tree pieces during the execution of the work should be cleared from the Head Office premises on completion of the day’s work.
- There shall not be any log of wood piled or left unattended after 20 days period allowed for the said work. The Coffee Board will not take any responsibility for materials not lifted from the site. The caution deposit will be returned only after the contract is complete in all aspects and the last piece of cut tree is removed from the premises.
- There shall not be any objection by the bidders for what ever reason after opening of the bids. The acceptance or rejection of the quote is at the discretion of the Chairman, Coffee Board.
