Sri E.B. Sethna and Sri J.K. Thomas have assumed the office of President and Vice President of the United Planters' Association of South India on 20th September 2005. Both were on the UPASI Executive committee for quite some time.
Sri Sethna was Chairman of the Planters' Association of Tamil Nadu during 1998-99 and 1999-2000. He is the Director of Conoor Tea Estate Co., Ltd., and Poddar Udyog Limited. Sri Thomas is presently the Managing Director of Malankara Plantations Limited and Member of the Tea Board. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Association of Planters' of Kerala for several years and was the Chairman during 1998-99.
