A workshop on Coffee Crop Insurance was held at Coffee Demonstration Farm in Yercaud organized by Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd., (AIC) Chennai on 14`h March 2006.

Sri S.K. Soundara Pandian, Member, Coffee Board, in his presidential speech enlightened the various aspects of the scheme and its importance for the benefit of grower community. He informed the planters to interact with the resource person of the company and render the suggestions for effective implementation of the scheme. He also distributed the cheques to the small coffee growers towards the release of first installment of Replanting subsidy under SSGS scheme of the Board.

Sri N.Rangaswamy Reddy, Deputy Director (E) Coimbatore also spoke on this occasion. Sri Ramakrishna, Asst. Manager, AIC explained about the salient features of the scheme.
