At the 180th Meeting of the Coffee Board held in Bangalore on 2.2.2007, Shri D.K. Udaya Shankar, was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board for a period of one year from February 2007.
Born on 30.6.1954 at Mudigere in Chikmagalur District of Karnataka, he hails from a family of Freedom fighters and social workers. Shri Udaya Shankar, who is an Arts Graduate has vast experience as a Coffee Planter.
He is actively associated with several Cultural, Social and Political activities. He is a lover of music.
