  • Post-blossom application of honnones
    Robusta

  • Collection of left over berries and disinfestation/ disposal of berries affected with berry borer.
  • Control of sucking pests, if necessary.
  • Application of bulk organic manure.
  • Shade regulation and pruning.
  • Nursery: After care of seedlings.
  • New clearings: Line marking and pitting.
  • Post-blossom application of hormones
MAY
SOUTH-WEST MONSOON AREAS


  • Pre-monsoon manuring
  • Spraying leaf rust susceptible coffee with 0.02 % aj. of Bayleton 25 WP (160 g in 200 litres of water) or 0.5 % Bordeaux Mixture as pre-monsoon application.
  • Borer tracing and swabbing/spraying with Lindane 20 Ec.
  • Control measures against shoot mealybug and green scale, if necessary.
  • Lopping dadap in tbe second fortnight depending on weather conditions.
  • Pitting in new clearings and planting of dadap stakes depending on weather conditions.
  • Clearing of drains, renovation of trenches and pits.
  • Weeding in new clearings.
  • Application of bulk organic manure.
  • Application of lime, wherever necessary.
  • If berry borer infestation is noticed in a few berries, remove and destroy them. If incidence is more, spot spray with endosulfan maybe taken up.
  • Nursery aftercare: Spraying nursery seedlings with Dithane M-45 or Ferbam at 0.4% or Foltaf against brown eye-spot disease.
  • Drench the soil with Bavistin 50WP 0.4%@ 3 litre/ plant (24g/3.1 of water) or Vitavax 75 WP 0.3% @ 3 litre/plant (I2g/3 litres of w~er) in the just wilting stage wherever root diseases are observed.
North-East Monsoon areas.
